Each One Reach One

Children (old version)

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Florida Gardens Baptist Church believes the primary responsibility for the spiritual development of children rests with the parents. At the same time, FGBC recognizes that not every child is raised in a Christian home environment nor is every parent confident in his or her ability to teach a child God's word.

Therefore, FGBC seeks to implement a strategy whereby we come alongside parents who are striving to lay a solid biblical foundation in the lives of their children, as well as offering help to those parents who need aid in this vital task.

FGBC offers three particular ministries to aid in the spiritual development of children.

1.  Our Sunday School Ministry:  FGBC has various Sunday School classes for children in Pre-K thru 8th grade. These different grade-based classes teach students the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith.  Thus, a student who begins attending Sunday School in Kindergarten and continues through the 8th grade will be thoroughly equipped to make a stand for Christ.

2.  Vacation Bible School (VBS):  Each summer, FGBC hosts a free VBS.  VBS includes three hours of games, crafts, music, missions, and Bible study each day.  It is open for children in Pre-School through 8th grade.  Check back in early 2011 for information about next summer's VBS!

3.  "The ROCK" is our weekly ministry for students in the K-5th grades that seeks to teach about the greatness of Christ and the wisdom of building one's life upon Him.  It also provides opportunities for the children to experience Christian service first hand through various service and ministry projects like making cards for the nursing home residents and fire department missions.  Students also do the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child gift boxes each Christmas.  Students involved in this ministry will sing songs, do crafts, play games, and most importantly learn of their need to trust in Christ to be saved! The group meets on
Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm.

We are currently teaching Group's "LIVE" curriculum.  It has been lots of fun!  "LIVE" is more than just another curriculum; it's a Bible study & worship experience for elementary-aged children. "LIVE" is fast moving, but allows each child to encounter God personally each week in a dynamic, interactive, high-tech environment.  Come and join us for the adventure!

"LIVE" Leaders:
